Office of Surplus Property

The Mississippi Office of Surplus Property was organized in March of 1946, with the authority to acquire surplus goods from the Federal Government. Once property has been declared as excess to the needs of the Federal Government, the highest and best utilization of that property is by public and private organizations of the State of Mississippi who are dedicated to the education, training, health, civil protection, safety, administration, and other public benefits of our taxpayers.
