If you are unable to find what you are looking for by using the search, you may use our Live Chat feature, which is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live Chat allows you to ask an ms.gov operator to help you find information, online services or direct government contacts. The operator will point you to the appropriate state website or may provide a phone number for the best direct contact to assist you.

- The text size feature does not remember my choice from page to page
- Check to see if you have cookies turned off in your browser. Cookies are used to store user information that a web application can reference. ms.gov uses a cookie to store a user’s text size preference. If you have cookies turned off then this feature will not work. You will still be able to make the text size change on a per page basis without cookies. Due to the advanced features on the home page, the Text Size feature has been disabled on the home page.
- Links to social media on ms.gov cause an error to display.
- If you are accessing ms.gov from work, certain organizations block social media websites and will not allow links to them to display. Try accessing the site from your home computer to gain access to the social media links.
- The site looks different in different browsers. Why?
- ms.gov is built using the latest web 2.0 technologies such as html 5, css 3, and JQuery. Older browsers have less support for these technologies and may not display them as intended. ms.gov was built so that these features would degrade gracefully in older browsers, allowing the core site content to still be accessible. If you are using Internet Explorer 8 and content is not accessible, please email us and let us know which page is affected and how and we will do our best to address the issue. Our best recommendation is to download one of the more modern browsers, such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 10 Please note that Microsoft has ceased supporting Internet Explorer 6.
